Ready or not, the game is changing. Life has shifted more dramatically in the past hundred years than it did the thousand years before. It's altered more in the past 5 years alone than it did in the previous 50 years. What does this mean for the next 3 years? The next 10 years?
The problem is, we're not playing a game. The stakes in the church are higher than they've ever been. As leaders, we risk the future of this generation if we ignore the rapid change of pace.
Zombies, Football and the Gospel walks you through 10 game-changing concepts that will help you navigate the shifting sands of culture and connect with the world around you - both personally and professionally.
(And just in case you're wondering, zombies and football provide key sign posts along the way.)
The game has changed. It's time for us to change the way we play - because we can't afford to lose.
Reggie Joiner is the founder and CEO of Orange, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to influence those who influence the next generation. Orange provides resources and training for churches and organizations that create environments for parents, kids and teenagers. Prior to Orange, Joiner co-founded North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, with Andy Stanley. During his 11 years as the executive director of family ministry, he developed a new concept for relevant ministry for children, teenagers, and married adults. If you end up road tripping with him across the country on Orange Tour, be prepared to stop at every antique store along the way. He has found a way to wear orange for 3,453 days and counting. He has authored and co-authored books including all of the books in this category. Reggie and his wife Debbie live in Georgia, and have four children: Reggie Paul, Hannah, Sarah, and Rebekah.
